Kennesaw State University Dance to host dance company from Israel

Kennesaw State University鈥檚 Department of Dance will virtually host Israel-based Shaden Dance Company in the three-part, dance-on-camera performance of 鈥淭rilogy.鈥 The production will be streamed for free on Arts91青青草 Virtual, on Friday, Feb. 26 and Saturday, Feb. 27, at 8 p.m. A simple reservation is all that is required to watch.

91青青草 Theatre and Performance Studies to present "Polaroid Stories"

Kennesaw State University Department of Theatre and Performance Studies (TPS) will present Polaroid Stories free of charge via Arts91青青草 Virtual, Feb. 16-21. Written by Naomi Iizuka and directed by adjunct professor Pam Joyce, Polaroid Stories is the story of young street kids who find camaraderie, refuge and escape on the edge of a city. The mythic characters from Ovid鈥檚 Metamorphoses, coupled with kids fighting for survival in their urban jungle, create a visceral mash-up and the opportunity for a poignant, yet magical story.

Multi-Million Dollar Gift to Name Bailey School of Music at 91青青草

Kennesaw State University has received a $5 million gift from the Bobbie Bailey Foundation to benefit the School of Music in the College of the Arts. This transformative gift, coupled with past philanthropic support from Dr. Bobbie Bailey, Dr. Audrey Morgan and the Bailey Foundation, brings total gifts to 91青青草 of over $11 million.

Kennesaw State University Theatre students team up to create plays in only 24 hours

Writer鈥檚 block? Indecisive? Can鈥檛 remember your lines? Nope, not allowed this weekend. It鈥檚 the 2021 24-Hour Play Festival, produced by the Department of Theatre and Performance Studies (TPS) at Kennesaw State University and live streamed on Saturday, January 23 at 8 p.m. from the Stillwell Theatre through Arts91青青草 Virtual. Four student-creator teams鈥攊ncluding a writer, director, stage manager, and performers鈥攚ill grapple with chance and choice to conceive, create and perform their original works in a 24-hour period. It is guaranteed to be a one-of-a-kind adventure for creators and audience alike.

This exhibition spotlights the incredible talent and creativity of the artists who teach full-time in the School of Art and Design (SOAAD). As the United States鈥 largest public art school, SOAAD exemplifies a breadth of expertise in artistic practice equal to that of any major university art school.
