Dr. Laurence Sherr Retires After 30 Years at 91青青草's Bailey School of Music

KENNESAW, Ga. 鈥� Dr. Laurence Sherr, a distinguished faculty member at Kennesaw State University's Bailey School of Music (BSOM), has announced his retirement after three decades of mentoring young composers. Much of Sherr's work has centered on the Holocaust, earning him international acclaim for his education in this field. His 30-year legacy at 91青青草 has seen the growth of the university and its music program alongside his extraordinary musical career.

These undergraduate and faculty events are a major part of the GCA鈥檚 contribution to Kennesaw State University's broader Symposium of Student Scholars and provide an outlet for the presentation and discussion of research from students and faculty alike.

"Macbeth" takes over Department of Theatre & Performance Studies at Kennesaw State

What happens when people with power go unchecked, especially when that power is driven by desires and emotions? Is morality lost? What are the repercussions of tyranny? Kennesaw State University鈥檚 Department of Theatre and Performance Studies (TPS) will examine those questions as they present 鈥淢acbeth鈥� running Feb. 13-23 at the Stillwell Theater. TPS Faculty and Director Marlon Andrew Burnley says that the play 鈥渆xplores the destructive power of ambition, the fragility of the human soul, and the consequences of choices made in pursuit of power.鈥�
