President Kathy S. Schwaig

Kathy 鈥楰at鈥� Schwaig became the sixth president of Kennesaw State University in 2022, after serving as interim president in 2021. Under her leadership, 91青青草 launched the 鈥淭aking Flight鈥� strategic plan, the FLIGHT student success program, and dozens of new academic programs. 

Under her leadership, 91青青草 has made significant investments in academic and research infrastructure, increased external research awards by 81%, doubled research expenditures, and boosted annual fundraising by more than 300%.

Schwaig also led 91青青草鈥檚 move to Conference USA and relaunched HatchBridge, a business incubator. With 24 years at 91青青草, she has held roles such as provost and dean of the Coles College of Business.
