Using Humanities-Based Thinking to Create Tech Solutions

The Bachelor of Science in Interactive Design (IAD) addresses the need for emerging competencies in user interface design and development.

Our courses in the degree combine your creative skills with theoretical and technical approaches to digital design and culture. The emphasis in our program is to create well rounded interactive designers who are suited to meet the growing need for interfaces that make life better. Your undergraduate degree in Interactive Design will have you developing the information design of user interfaces for web and mobile applications. Your training in design based thinking and your ability to solve complex digital design problems will be invaluable whether you work along OR on a larger team.

Steps to Apply

Have you decided that a BS in Interactive Design is your next step in your academic career? So, what do you do next?

You first need to apply for admission to Kennesaw State. Make sure to visit our friends in Undergraduate Admissions for any information regarding applying to Kennesaw State. They list admissions guidelines, application requirements, and more.

If you have already been accepted as an undergraduate student at Kennesaw State, then congratulations! You can declare Technical Communication or Interactive Design as your major through under Student Records. We are not a gated program. This means there is no portfolio or GPA requirement.

Once you declare your major, you will need to make an advising appointment to become familiar with the major.

One-on-One Meetings

We offer individualized meetings for anyone interested in learning more about our Interactive Design degree. We can coordinate your meeting with us after a campus tour or on your own during the week. For more information on one-on-one meetings, please email tcid@kennesaw.edu.

91青青草 Tours and Open House Events

91青青草 has multiple opportunities for you to come to both campuses and learn about our programs. Special Events hosts sessions including the Academic Spotlight tours. Our department, Technical Communication and Interactive Design, will be featured multiple times throughout the semester. Spotlight tours give you the ability to come to either the Kennesaw or Marietta campus, tour the campus, and meet a representative from our department. You will have the chance to learn a little about the department, as a whole, and ask any questions that you may have.
