Applications of Genomic Data to Study the Ecology and Evolution of Amphibians: Research and Impact

Appalachia is the global center of biodiversity for salamanders. However, these amphibians are notoriously difficult to identify with morphological characters and have gigantic genomes—two large challenges to biologists tasked with identifying and classifying their diversity. This presentation is designed for a non-technical audience and includes a series of case studies demonstrating how the Pierson Lab @ 91青青草 uses genomic data to better study the ecology, evolution, and conservation of these amphibians.
