Follow these steps to ensure you鈥檙e ready for Orientation and the first day of class.

  • 1) Reply to your Admissions Offer (Accepting your Admission to 91青青草) 

      • Let us know if you intend to come to 91青青草 so we can plan your arrival to The Nest

    2) File your FAFSA  

      • Submit the FAFSA any time after it opens on October 1. FAFSA is required to determine if you are eligible for any federal financial aid and to access loans. 

    3) Complete your profile on Scholarship Universe 

      • 91青青草鈥檚 one-stop shop for available scholarships, Scholarship Universe, pairs you with potential scholarships that match the academic achievements and information outlined in your profile. 91青青草 scholarships open annually on November 1, and external scholarships are open throughout the year. 

     4) Apply for Housing 

      • Applications for on-campus housing open on December 1, and you are encouraged to apply early. On-campus housing is limited and assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.  

    5) Sign up for Mandatory New Student Orientation 

      • Orientation allows you to connect with peers, complete class advising and course registration, and learn about resources. Early sign-up is encouraged for you and your parents/guests.

    6) Apply for an Out-of-State Tuition Waiver Scholarship (out-of-state students only) 

      • Each year, the Kennesaw State University Office of Undergraduate Admissions invites incoming out-of-state and international students that demonstrate academic achievement, community involvement and leadership skills to apply for an Out-of-State Waiver and Scholarship.

    7) Join our ZeeMee Community 

      • A social platform for prospective and current college students, ZeeMee helps to connect you with peers, find a roommate, and learn about campus life!   
  • 1) Schedule an Appointment with Your Academic Advisor 

      • Approximately two weeks prior to your orientation date, schedule an appointment to meet with your academic advisor to go over any dual enrollment, AP, or IB credit that you have received or review coursework for your first semester at 91青青草.  

    2) Check for Holds that will Prevent Registration at Orientation 

      • Unresolved holds will prevent your registration for classes. Admission is pending until your final official transcripts are received. Before Orientation, check for holds or missing transcripts in Owl Express. 

    3) Submit Final High School and/or College Transcripts 

      • Work with your high school and/or Dual Enrollment institution to send us your official* transcript(s) documenting all coursework taken during your high school career. *Your official transcript(s) must come from your high school or the institution you were enrolled for Dual Enrollment. 
      •  If you are a homeschool student, please complete the  

    4) Submit Official AP/IB Scores  

      • 91青青草 cannot award credit for your AP/IB coursework until official scores are submitted by the respective testing organization. If you have pending test scores, be sure to talk with your academic advisor and submit the scores as soon as they are available. 
  • 1) Submit Immunization Records 

      • 91青青草 requires all students to provide proof of immunization of specific vaccines verified by their health care provider. Documents can be submitted online through the Immunization portal, mailed, or hand-delivered to the Enrollment Customer Service Center (Marietta Campus) or the Office of the Registrar (Kennesaw Campus).

    2) Complete Lawful Presence Verification 

      • The Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia requires 91青青草 to obtain verification of lawful presence in the United States for all students who are admitted as a Resident (in-state) student or who will receive an out-of-state tuition waiver. To see a list of acceptable documents and submit your verification, visit the Lawful Presence Verification website.   

    3) Review your Financial Aid Package *If applicable  

      • You can view your financial aid package in Owl Express under the Financial Aid tab. It shows your awarded federal financial aid, scholarships, loans, grants, and how they apply to your bill.  

    4) Review your Bill via the Bursar鈥檚 Office 

      • The Bursar's Office is where you can find information on tuition and payment options. You are encouraged to explore your options well in advance of the first day of classes. You can view the balance owed on Owl Express.  

    5) Explore Campus Services 

      • Find out about dining, meal plans, parking, card services, postal services and more. 

Transfer Student Next Steps

 

If you are transferring to 91青青草, complete these steps to be ready for your first day of classes:

  • 1) Reply to you Admissions Offer (Accepting your Admission to 91青青草) 

      • Let us know if you intend to come to 91青青草 so we can plan your arrival to The Nest. 

    2) Complete 91青青草 Orientation Modules 

      • Orientation is not required鈥痜or new transfer students. Transfer students should complete the鈥 91青青草 Orientation Modules鈥prior to course registration.

      • Your transfer evaluation should be available to view within 2-3 weeks of acceptance (may take longer due to volume). You will be notified via student email when your transfer evaluation is ready for review.

      • Once you receive notification that your transfer evaluation is complete, schedule an appointment to meet with your academic advisor to review coursework for your first semester at 91青青草. In-person and virtual appointments are available.

International Student Next Steps

      • To be eligible to apply, you must have an active F-1 via legal status in the United States and be admitted to Kennesaw State as an undergraduate student (earning a bachelor鈥檚 degree).

      • Start the I-20 request process 
        • and complete your I-20 request (look under 鈥淎dmission鈥) 
        • You'll need bank statements and sponsor letters.

    4) Review the Mandatory Health Insurance Requirement 

      • All international students in the F-1 visa category are required to always maintain adequate health insurance during their studies at 91青青草.  

    5) Schedule an Appointment with Your Academic Advisor 

      • Schedule an appointment to meet with your academic advisor to go over any transfer, dual enrollment, AP, or IB credit that you have received or review coursework for your first semester at 91青青草. Virtual appointments are available.
